Refund Policy

1. Overview & Credit System

ZEMCV Builder operates on a credit-based system. Credits are the currency used within our platform to unlock specific actions:

  • 1 credit = 1 PDF export of your CV
  • Credits are purchased in packages and added to your account balance immediately upon confirmed payment
  • Credits do not expire and carry over between sessions
  • Free/starter credits provided at registration are non-refundable

Because credits represent a consumable digital service that is rendered instantly upon use, our refund policy is based strictly on whether credits have been consumed.

2. No-Refund Rule for Used Credits

⚠ IMPORTANT: If you have used even ONE (1) credit on your account — for any reason — no refund will be issued. This policy applies regardless of how many credits remain unused, when the purchase was made, or the reason for the refund request.

This strict rule exists because the moment a credit is used, a PDF export has been generated and delivered. The digital service has been fully rendered and cannot be "returned." We therefore treat any credit usage as full acceptance of the purchase.

What counts as "using a credit"?

  • Exporting any CV as a PDF (even if you later decide you do not need it)
  • A PDF export that failed due to a technical issue on your end (network error, browser crash) but was logged as consumed by our system

If a PDF export fails due to a confirmed bug on our server, please contact support — we will restore the credit, not issue a cash refund.

3. Eligibility for Refund

You are eligible for a full refund only if both of the following conditions are met:

Condition 1: You have NOT used any credits since your purchase (your credit balance is exactly as it was immediately after purchase).

Condition 2: You submit your refund request within 7 (seven) calendar days of the original purchase date.

If either condition is not satisfied, your refund request will be denied.

Examples

  • Eligible: You bought 5 credits on Day 1, used 0 credits, and request a refund on Day 5. ✓ Full refund will be issued.
  • Not Eligible: You bought 5 credits, used 1 credit for a PDF export, and still have 4 credits remaining. ✗ No refund.
  • Not Eligible: You bought 5 credits on Day 1, used 0 credits, but request a refund on Day 10. ✗ Past the 7-day window.
  • Not Eligible: You are requesting a refund for only part of a credit package. ✗ Partial refunds are not available.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, follow these steps:

  1. Email us at javedahmed08900@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
  2. Include the following in your email:
    • Your registered email address
    • The date of purchase
    • The transaction / order reference number (found in your purchase confirmation email)
    • The reason for your refund request
  3. We will verify your credit usage history against our records
  4. If eligible, we will confirm approval and initiate the refund

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee a refund. All requests are subject to the eligibility conditions above.

5. Processing & Timeline

Once your refund is approved:

  • Refunds are processed within 3–5 business days of approval
  • The refund will be returned to your original payment method
  • Your bank or card issuer may take an additional 3–10 business days to reflect the credit on your statement
  • Your purchased credits will be removed from your account upon refund completion

We do not offer refunds in the form of additional credits, vouchers, or alternative payment methods — only a return to the original payment method.

6. Non-Refundable Situations

The following are explicitly non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Any account where 1 or more credits have been used
  • Refund requests submitted more than 7 days after purchase
  • Free, promotional, bonus, or starter credits provided without payment
  • Purchases made using discount codes or promotional offers
  • Partial refunds for unused portions of a credit package
  • Credits consumed during a free trial period
  • Situations where the refund request is made due to a change of mind after credit usage
